Your weekly allowance, explained simply

Your food benefit gives you a set amount to spend each week. Here's how that works in the app — in plain words, because that's how the app shows it too.

The week runs Sunday to Saturday

Every week you get a fresh allowance. The week starts Sunday and ends Saturday night. When a new week begins, you get the full amount again.

Use it during the week — it doesn't save up

An allowance you don't use this week doesn't carry into next week. It's like a table reserved for you at a restaurant: if you don't come, the meal doesn't wait. So it's worth placing your order every week, even a small one — the app will gently remind you what you have.

One order each week

Your benefit covers one order per week. That's why the app helps you fill the basket well before you send it — take your time, add what your family actually eats, and use the whole amount if you can.

The app does all the math

While you shop, the top of the screen always shows what's left — "You have $23.10 left this week" — and it updates with every item. If your basket goes over, nothing scary happens. The app just tells you kindly:

"That's $3.07 over this week's allowance — swap something small?"

You take something out or make a swap, and send when it fits. There is no way to accidentally spend more than your benefit covers.

If your plan uses points

Some food plans count in weekly points per food group instead of dollars. Same idea, same kindness: each group shows how many points you have, the app walks you through the groups one at a time, and it won't let a week go out unbalanced.

Questions about your amount?

The amount itself comes from your program — your agency sets it up from your authorization. If it looks wrong, or your family's needs changed, tell your agency. They can see everything on their side and fix it.
